Snapshot 3 - Grant Eley

Anyone

Quiet like a leopard stalking its prey

Like a wanderer losing his way

Average like Joe

It’s what he doesn’t show

A boy stricken with dismay

A kid growing up so fast

Learning how to love but it couldn’t last

A man in the making

His heart once breaking

Super glued to the past

A girl who led on his heart

Depression he says plays the part

Falling in love he had been

He says may never happen again

I believe his love cycle will restart

  1. Nice poem Grant! You do a great job using the metaphors. My favorite was "Quiet like a leopard stalking its prey." This poem is very relatable as we've all been there but you just have to move on. that is true that the cycle of love will restart. People will find love anywhere.

  2. Loved the poem, the flow and the rhythm that the poem has. I do agree with Mason love is a cycle does restart until you meet someone that shows you otherwise.
