Around the people I grew up to know and be very passionate about their Professions would be my mom. She is a clinical social worker and worked for known companies such as Fresenius dialysis center. She was in charge of patient records and to provide smooth transitions to these centers in which dialysis are a very strong procedure (I’ll include a picture of the dialysis machine). She in Puerto Rico she was in position of two of the major Fresenius centers of the island. Always excelled in her work and her dynamic with her patients, she kept that human touch to the patients. Due to the economic crisis in Puerto Rico her work was way undervalued, but this really didn’t stop her to do what she really loved to do the most.

The purpose of the book is to show how the stories of the people who found their calling, their way of work and in the same thing that makes them very happy despite of benefits or even the economic benefit it brings or doesn’t bring. It shows how the conditions of said calling they are in and how they do to manage their day to day expenses. This book is meant for you to invoke and listen to your inner voice, to hear that calling of doing what you are passionate of doing. It’s only you who can make yourself happy, whatever you are doing is for yourself, not for nobody else. The moment will come, that calling will come.

My favorite profile was the star hustler, Mr. Herman Heyn of 83 as a street-corner astronomer. He wanted to become a scientist, but his big obstacle was his learning disabilities, he wasn’t able to remember things such as English grammar or even a list of words. When he was in eighth grade, he had a teacher that drew on the black board The Big Dipper and instructed to locate that tonight and ever since then he got hooked for astronomy. He couldn’t hold a proper job because it wasn’t really something felt comfortable or himself on those jobs as Herman states: “I had so many jobs, I can’t even make a list of them all, but it would be a very long list. And then one beautiful night in November of 1987, the moon was up, Jupiter was up, and I had nothing schedule. And so, I decided, Heck, I’m going to take my telescope out on the street and invite people to look at the stars (Heyn 12)”. Street Astronomy was his calling and since that 1987 night everything started for him. It was a very beautiful profile. I always found astronomy to be quite fascinating, I only took one semester of it and enjoyed it to the maximum.
