My name
July 25 2001 was the start of my adventure, born and raised in marion ohio and I was given the name of Ethan. While I don’t mind having the name, on the days that I don’t work I’m usually at my camper at indian lake fishing or boating and or relaxing releasing stress of work and school. I love watching Ohio State football in fall and watching the leaves turn different colors and fall. My favorite season has to be summer because of the warm weather and because it’s boating season.
The house on mango street is an interesting read for sure, with Esperanza telling her childhood through her eye’s as a little girl. What sticks out the most to me is that she is describing her family’s dream house in such a deal then describing each one of her past apartments and then the house on mango street. The reason why that stuck to me is that I understand that living paycheck to paycheck is very very hard and a lot of americans are living like that in this day and age. Also I understand her feelings of wanting her own best friend because I struggle talking to people sometimes because of how shy I can get. One of my favorite passages is on page 9 chapter boys and girls, {someday i will have a best friend all my own. One I can tell my secrets to. One who will understand my jokes without my having to explain them. Until then I am a red balloon, a balloon tied to an anchor.}. The reason why I chose this paragraph is because it shows her desire to have a friend all of her own and without that friend she is just a red balloon tied to an anchor.
